After careful consideration, I’ve decided to drop the zero (my own blog) and get with the hero (a blog w/ my wife). She makes life more fun anyway.

Oh Those Days Long Lost:

Of all the countless video games out there, I dare say that Tecmo Bowl has played a defining role in my life.  Once touted as the “most competitive man versus man controller controlled game ever invented,” I’ve apparently been only one of many who have such an attachment to 8-bit renderings of football greats in their hay-day.  To this day, there are message boards, leagues and yes, tournaments still going on centered around this glorious invention of a video game.  And as a toast to its genius, here’s a video illustrating that Bo not only knows baseball, football, and Nikes, but also Tecmo Bowl:

To the person trying to figure out who my girlfriend (now fiance) is:  just ask.  You don’t have to Google it… (yes, someone got here via search for “Andrew Bishop girlfriend”.)  She’s wonderful, let me tell you, but you can’t have her ;-)

Kindly ignore that if you’re looking for the scoop on this guy.

I’ve really enjoyed the new album from The National as well as Pelican’s City of Echoes.  The National, by the way, will be playing at the Variety Playhouse in ATL on 9/8.

Ah,  the ever-growing itch for a good concert.

Geico’s Cavemen getting their own series.  Didn’t know the commercials were that popular.

The Simpsons Movie comes out this weekend…total awesomeness.

And finally, the book of Isaiah is incredible, albeit a bit terrifying.

Man v Wild

I can’t help but feel as if I’ve wasted my life already when I read about Bear Grylls.  Lauren and I agree that I should be him…

Christian, explorer, author, speaker, generous philanthropist…

His show, Man vs. Wild is the only TV show I’ve gotten excited about in quite some time.

P.S.  I want a flint like that!

Robot Chicken has been my choice of video searches on YouTube recently.  Especially this one.

Can anyone explain why I-26 West was clogged with traffic yesterday all the way from Columbia to 385 at 5:30 in the afternoon (On Sunday)?  Drove me insane.
